The PedalBox Cake Off

Cake Off came about during the PedalBox 4th birthday stream in October 2021 and the 'rules'' developed as we went on, along with the logo. The rules are fairly simple. Make or decorate a cake with a car or automotive theme. It doesn't have to be a cake, brownies cookies, cup cakes, gingerbread, even bread! You get the idea... Have cake, enjoy cake, and overall: Have Fun!
We'll announce the winners LIVE on a PedalBox stream December 18th
where Ade, Chris, Lawrie and Matt attempt to make a fully gingerbread car.
Competition Entry
Between December 1st and 6pm December 18th, post a picture to Instagram and mention @pedalboxshow with the tag #BunIsBetterThanGood as well as @lawries_mechanical_marvels.
Judging
We'll sort all the entries and announce a winner from the shortlist on December 18th on a live stream, with Lawrie and Matt from Lawrie's Mechanical Marvels where we will attempt to make a cake of our own, live!
Prizes
What will the winner get? We're putting together a bundle of merch to split between first, second and third from the three judging channel's stores, PedalBox and Lawries Mechanical Marvels.

The Rules
1. Competition Entry.
- Entries must tag '@PedalBoxShow' on Instagram and include '#BunIsBetterThanGood' in order to qualify, and should also Include @lawries_mechanical_marvels in the post.
- Entries received before 00:00 December 1st and after 18:00 December 18th will not be included.
- Entries may also be sent to pedalboxcakeoff@gmail.com as an alternative to submission via Instagram.
- Images received may be used for promotional purposes by 'PedalBoxShow' and 'Lawries Mechanical Marvels' on platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
- The winners will be announced on Dec 18th on PedalBox Youtube channel live stream.
2 . Cake
- Please do no post us cake. Our postman will be upset.
- Cake can include but is not limited to: Cakes, Cookies, Biscuits, Gingerbread, Bread/Buns, Cupcakes.
- A pie is a not a cake, but you may wish to have one before you have your cake as part of a balanced meal.
- Please enjoy your cake. Wasted cake is sad cake.
3. Judging Guides
- To aid in selecting a winner, judging will broadly include three categories: "Concept", "Execution", and "Edibility"
- "Concept" How much we like the idea based on it's optimism / comedy value / ingenuity
- "Execution" How much we liked the finished cake, based on the success of the concept
- "Edibility" How much of the cake is edible, based on how much it's not secretly fibreglass, or a tube chassis.
- Additional points may be given at judges discretion for things we feel are particularly cool.
4. Prizes
- Winners will be contacted via Instagram or email (based on their entry method) and prizes will be dispatched accordingly as soon as practical.
Crucially, this is all in good fun, please don't take it too seriously and DO have a good time!
Lawrie has a wide collections of vehicles including buses, cars, tractors, diggers, and even trains. Matt, as well as Trev and Morgan add even MORE vehicles and visit all over the country, generally looking at, driving or just visiting some awesome places and things.
